SERVICES PROVIDED TO BIRTH PARENTS

There are no charges to birth parents for services for this service. During a time that can be frightening and confusing for birth parents, you can be assured that Susan will give accurate legal counsel, represent your interests, and provide assistance in selecting an adoptive couple if you have not already done so. The alternatives available and your rights and responsibilities in regard to your child can seem overwhelming, but they are matters that must be addressed. Birth mothers may also receive financial assistance for housing, transportation, and medical costs during pregnancy. Whatever your situation might be, Susan will work with you in a professional and compassionate manner to see that a suitable adoption plan is arranged in accordance with your wishes.

Making an adoption plan for a child is one of the most important decisions that a person will ever make. Contacting an adoption professional as early in the pregnancy as possible to discuss all options can substantially ease that decision.

(PLEASE NOTE: All information given above applies to Florida law. While Ms. Stockham can assist birth parents and adoptive couples out-of-state, you should also be aware of your state's laws regarding adoption.)
